| Question: Who is Ameriflex and what do they do? | Answer: Ameriflex is one of the nation’s leading providers of employee benefits, including Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), COBRA, and other tax-advantaged accounts. The IRS has strict rules for the use of FSAs, HSAs, and HRAs. As an administrator of these accounts, Ameriflex ensures that participants and employers are compliant with all IRS regulations. In doing so, we may approve or deny card transactions, claims, and clear or deem ineligible certain card transactions. We may ask participants to submit supporting documentation for certain transactions. It is important that participants provide the requested documents to substantiate claims and transactions. It is their responsibility to do so. This applies to current and past plan years. This ensures compliance with federal requirements and those of the employer's benefit plan.
COBRA allows individuals to continue receiving the health benefits they had while employed, up to 18 months. Ameriflex collects the COBRA premiums from the COBRA-enrolled individual. We then remit the premiums to the employer, who will pay all monthly premiums to the insurance carrier for all individuals who are active employees or on COBRA. |
| Question: Can the Ameriflex website and portal be translated into another language? | Answer: Yes, we recommend using your browser to translate our sites. Here are some helpful articles with instructions:
